6 the TPE activity index loses two points

The Federation of Chartered Management centres reveals the results of its exclusive survey conducted in partnership with the Banque Populaire. Sector by sector, profession by profession, an overview of the "tops" and the "flops" small craft, trade and services in 2009.

All activities combined, the turnover of small enterprises recorded a decline of 2.6 in 2009. Compared to the year 2008 ( 0.6), the TPE activity index loses two points. Weakened by recession, the activity of the artisans, merchants and independent service providers deteriorated significantly over the previous year. In total, are 56 occupations in crafts, trade and services that are passed to the screen in this study.

The Tops

1 Hotel in outdoor: 9.4 outdoor Hotel registers a dramatic progression of activity in 2009: 9.4. They recorded a slight increase of activity from the previous year: 2.6 (against 2 in 2008). Weakened by the increase in the price of cigarettes, the profession addresses the future with caution.

Even if sectoral rates are higher in the overall index of activity of the TPE (-2,6), registered progressions in 2009 remain very low:-pharmacists: 1.5 (against 1.3 in 2008)-lunetiers opticians: 1.3 (up from 1.6 in 2008)-haberdashery-lingerie-wool stores: 1.2 (against-1 in 2008)-hotels restaurants: 0.7 (compared to-2 in 2008)-the stores of toys and games: 0.6 (against-7,5 in 2008)-shoe retailers : 0.5 (up from 1.6 in 2008)-children clothing stores: 0.4 (compared to 0.9 in 2008)-the furniture stores: 0.2 (against-3 in 2008)

The Flops

1. The sale and repair moto:-9,6 after a year 2008 already very difficult (-5,7), businesses for sale and repair of motorcycles accelerate their reverse in 2009:-9,6. 2.
