The demonstrators in the square Syntagma (Constitution square) in Athens announced Tuesday their intention of complete access to the Parliament Greek Wednesday to prevent the members discuss new austerity measures advocated by the Socialist Government.
Large public function, ADEDY Union, for its part plans to join the protesters Wednesday in a national strike. The police announced that it would deploy 1,500 men, instead of 300, to maintain order on the site.

Despite popular resentment, the Government of George Papandreou will submit Wednesday to Parliament a new austerity program over five years with the objective to adopt before the end of the month. These measures are claimed by the Greece international creditors to unblock a new assistance plan and thus avoid bankruptcy.
The demonstrators from the Syntagma Square, opposite the Parliament, where gather some days several tens of thousands of people, intend to thwart these projects by encircling the head of the "Vouli", the single House of the Greek Parliament.
"Now that the Government submitted to the vote program of austerity in the medium term, we (will) encircle the Parliament, we (will) come together and we (will) remain on Syntagma Square", announced in a press release the popular Assembly of the Syntagma, a self-proclaimed organization place.
"Our first step is the general strike of June 15." "We will not stop not movement as long as they have not withdrawn" project. The Union join that represents a half-million workers.
"The medium-term plan should not be adopted." "We want that they change their minds and throw it in the trash", stated to Reuters the Secretary General of the Union, Ilias Iliopoulos.

The Standard & Poor's agency degraded Monday the note of the Greece to the poorly ranked country in the world among those it rating. It considers more likely a restructuring of the Greek debt, an amount of EUR 340 billion, that it would equate to a bankruptcy.
This decision led to an inflation of the cost of the debt of the Greece. (see)
The European Union (EU) and the international monetary Fund (IMF) wish that all Greek political parties support the austerity program before the meeting June 20 Ministers of Finance of the EU and the European Summit of 23 and 24 June.
On that occasion, Europe's leaders should discuss a new plan of aid of EUR 120 billion in the Greece to replace the first mechanism of support developed last year.
The green light from EU leaders, and the adoption of the programme of austerity by the Greek Parliament, are essential to the rapid release of a new instalment in the amount of 12 billion euros for the Greece.
New democracy conservative, main opposition party, however unwilling to support the Socialist Government's plan. The George Papandreou Pasok has however of the absolute majority in Parliament but he is now trailing conservatives in the polls and the frond threat in the ranks of its members.
A socialist MP said that he would vote against the draft and another announced his resignation from the parliamentary group of the Shirokinskiy, reducing the majority of the Prime Minister in the Assembly to 155 seats 300.
The austerity programme provides a new level of taxation and the additional spending cuts. A first austerity plan adopted in 2010 did not in the Greece of its budgetary goals.
This policy has contributed to a contraction of 5.5 of GDP in the Greece in the first quarter of 2011 and an increase in the rate of unemployment until after 16 of the active population, fueling the anger of the people.
